Snyder Baseball - Summer Program: Advanced High School Camp at Fauquier High School

Snyder Baseball will work in conjunction with Fauquier High School Head Coach Paul Koch at this camp. In addition to the Youth Summer Day camps there will be an Advanced High School Player Camp June 21-24, 9:00AM – 1:00 PM. This camp is designed for the serious High School player and will focus on hitting, fielding, and position specific work. Rising freshmen are also invited.
Cost: $175

Outdoor Day Camp (ages 6-12) at Fauquier High School

Snyder Baseball Outdoor Day Camp (ages 6-12)

These camps will be held at various locations in Northern Virginia including Fauquier High School with Head Coach Paul Koch. The format will be similar to that of the Indoor Camps. Weather is not a problem for those camps at locations near our Haymarket facility. If rain or extreme heat threatens those camps, we will move indoors.

Season Ends as Falcons Fall to Kettle Run 8-4 in District Tournament

The Falcons finished the season losing to Kettle Run in the District Semi-Final on Tuesday night.  Final stats are available here.

Falcons Drop Season Finale, Playoffs Next

Despite the 7-5 loss to visiting Kettle Run, there was a great
atmosphere at Athey Park as the Falcons honored their 11 Seniors and
supported those fighting Breast Cancer.

The night began with a long lineup of of Seniors and their escorts who
tipped their hats one final time at Athey Park. Hollis, Lee, Seth,
Chris, Drew, Josh, Ryan, Hunter, Forrest, Justin and Dylan have served
this team and school community well, and they each made significant
contributions in the game tonight. The team also wore pink ribbons,
the Falcon mascot threw out the first pitch - a pink baseball, and the
park observed a moment of cheering for those winning the fight against
Breast Cancer.

The team returns to action Tuesday as the playoffs begin. The
Falcons, finishing with the #2 seed in the regular season, will play a
rematch with Kettle Run at 4:30 pm at tournament host Brentsville
District High School.

Friday Night Reminders

Along with Friday being Senior Night, the FHS Booster club and the baseball and softball teams are also hosting Breast Cancer Awareness Night - please wear red or pink in support of the causes.  The baseball team will affix pink ribbons to their uniforms in support of the search for the cure.


Parents of seniors should report to the Falcons dugout at 6:45 in preparation for the pre-game Senior Night ceremony.  

Congrats to Drew Law on signing letter to attend Danville Community College

Joined by his family and Coach John Bailey from DCC, Drew Law finalized the paperwork to continue his playing career for the Knights of  Danville Community College in the fall.  Good luck to Drew and his family and the rest of the Seniors and their families as they celebrate Senior Night this Friday.

Today's games and Senior Night festivities are cancelled and moved to Friday. JV players should report to the gym at 3 and varsity players should report to the cage.

Falcons Win at Bing

Lee Cranford tossed the complete game as the Falcons outlasted the
weather and Warren County for the 7-3 win.

The Falcons return home Tuesday for the Senior Night regular season
finale against Kettle Run.

Reschedule JV baseball at Fauquier

 Please note the reschedule of the JV baseball game at Fauquier from 05-12-2010 with Brentsville to 05-19-2010 starting at 6:00 PM.

Falcons win 2-1 over Brentsville

Behind a 6 inning start from Drew Law and a save from Forrest Drake
the Falcons move to 13-4 with a win over visiting Brentsville.

Today's games with Brentsville have been postponed due to weather. Games are rescheduled for tomorrow. Varsity players should report to weightroom, JV players are dismissed for the day.

Falcons Notch 12th Win Over James Wood

With an impressive complete game outing from Forrest Drake, the Falcons beat James Wood 6-2 on Friday night at Athey Park.  The Falcons return home Tuesday night to play Brentsville.

Tuesday night's game will also be Falcons Youth Baseball Night at Athey Park, so any youth baseball participant who comes to the game in uniform will get a free hog dog, chips and a drink.

Falcons Fall at Bing Crosby Stadium to Skyline, Move to 11-4

Seth Taylor started for the Falcons on the mound,  but was chased after allowing a 5 run 4th inning.  Drew Law came on in relief and spurred a Falcons comeback tying the score at 5-5 in the 6th.  In the  bottom half of that inning though an infield hit, wild pitch and sac fly plated the go ahead run  and eventual winning for the host Skyline.

Falcons Win at Kettle Run

Behind a stellar mound performace by Forrest Frake, the Falcons
rebounded from Friday's loss with a 6-2 win at Kettle Run. The team
travels to Liberty Thursday night.

Falcons lose 5-4 to Warren County

Seth Taylor takes the loss as the Falcon move to 9-3, 1-2 in the
Evergreen.

Little Graces Fun Fair This Saturday

The Falcons will participate in the their annual community service
activity of working at the Little Graces Fun Fair this Saturday from
9-3:30. Players who are attending prom will be released early. I am
in need of a parent or parents who can help chapparone the activity so
that I can attend my son's game during part of the event. If you are

Falcons Beat Skyline

The Falcons move to 9-2 with a 3-2 victory over visiting Skyline on Tuesday. The team was led by a stellar pitching performance by Lee Cranford who allowed 1 earned run and struck out 9 in the complete game performance.
