Falcons (5-14) 1 Battlefield 0

Wow!  On Senior night the Falcons got it done, outlasting Battlefield in a 12 inning Cedar Run contest.  The Falcons were paced by superb pitching performances by Senior Branden Bartlett, throwing the first seven innings, and Senior Adam Young getting the win throwing the last five innings of the ball game.  The Falcons offense was held to 6 hits in the contest as Seniors Colin Miller(2), Branden Bartlett, Nick Caito, and Adam Young provided the offense.  The other hit came off of the bat of Andrew Byrd in the 12th.  Byrd's hit set the table for the game ending play in which Billy Pierce sacrifice bunted to the Catcher and the throw to first was errant, scoring Byrd on the play.

Falcons (4-11) 1 Osbourn 3

The Falcons battled hard but came up short, unable to provide stronger run support behind an outstanding Cassidy McDaniel pitching outing.  McDaniel went the distance and was backed by a strong team defense performance.  The Falcons only run came in the third when freshman catcher Ryan Smith singled with one out.  That was followed by a base hits by Colin Miller and Branden Bartlett to load the bases.  The run came when Ryan Smith tagged and scored on a sacrifice fly by McDaniel.  But that would be it for the Falcons offense and the team falls to 1-5 in the Cedar Run.  The Falcons next matchup is Thursday at Stonewall Jackson.
